Amazon Prime Video India just announced a massive slate of web series content scheduled to release later this year with all the big superstars of the entertainment world, and we here at Webisoda will be your guide through each one of these releases! Adhura: Adhura is a supernatural drama coming to you on Amazon Prime. Now it may seem like your cliche boarding school in the middle of nowhere being haunted by some entity, but as the series progresses, many secrets and mysteries are unravelled that will show you that this isn’t mainstream horror!
Adhura will be headlined by Emmay EntertainmentCreative Producer – Nikkhil Advani under the direction of Gauravv Chawla and Ananya Banerjee. Ishwak Singh and Rasika Dugal play the leading roles in this series.
Bambai Meri Jaan: This series will take you back to the crass, unfiltered post-independence Bombay, where the streets with filled with crime families locked in a power grab. How will an honest, humble policeman, just trying to protect his family and do his duty, fit into this entire picture? Producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Kassin Jagmagia and Farhan Akthar bring to you the very gritty- Bambai Meri Jaan under the direction of Shujaat Saudagar with Kay Kay Menon, Kritika Kamra, Avinash Tiwary and Amyra Dastur in the lead roles.
Farzi: Farzi on Amazon Prime Video brings to us a story of this rugged, struggling artist in a fast-paced, materialistic world, where artistry is an abstract concept. Superstar Shahid Kapoor marks his OTT debut with Farzi on Prime, and will take us on the profound journey of what seems to be a stroke of excitement in his otherwise mundane routine. What happens when an artist is dragged into a high stakes con job in alliance with a task force officer? Find out very soon! Farzi is power-packed with entertainment big-names such as Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Amol Palekar and Kubbra Sait. Are you excited? We sure are!
Call me Bae: Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is back with yet another uber-rich girl drama where Bae, the lead character goes on a journey from riches to scandals to self-discovery and growth. She fights against stereotypes and creates an identity outside of her money. Details about the lead character are yet to be disclosed, so stay tuned!
Crash Course: In the Indian education system, we see pressure and competition among students and within each individual as well. It’s a struggle, undoubtedly. But to what extent does this pressure extend? Watch Crash Course, where two rival coaching institutes pull all stops to one-up the other and the effect their competition has on a small group of young, impressionable students running the rat race! Relatable? Directed by Vijay Maurya, this series shows us young actors Annu Kapoor, Siddharth Kak, Udit Arora, and Bidita Bag in lead roles.
Dahaad: Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Verma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah, under the banner of Tiger Baby and Excel Media, bring to us a female cop drama set in a small village. A crime shakes the residents and the cop herself to the core. Sonakshi’s OTT debut takes her on a journey to solve this crime and deliver justice to the wronged.
Dhootha: Director Vikram Kumar brings to Amazon Prime India his Telugu horror web series with Parvathy and Nag Chaitanya manning the helm of the show. This show captures the story of the supernatural world possessing inanimate objects to destabilize the life of people committing horrendous crimes and mistakes.
Modern Love Mumbai: Modern Love Mumbai like its Hollywood OTT counterpart takes you on a story of love- romantic, familial, marital, platonic and self-love. This series will explore 6 very unique yet similar stories of relationships and their nuances and the main emotion of all love. It stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Anurag Kashyap and Naseeruddin Shah among others in lead roles.
Gulkanda Tales: Gulkanda Tales marks the return of one of the most acclaimed actors in today’s entertainment industry- Pankaj Tripathi along with actress Patralekha. Written and produced by Raj and DK and directed by Rahi Anil Barve, this is a story of a ‘comedy of epic proportions’. 
Happy Family Conditions Apply: Beloved TV actress and movie veteran Rathna Pathak Shah is back with the makers of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai for another collaboration over this Amazon Prime Video series. Happy Family Conditions Apply is a wholesome, happy, comedy-drama which would be a fresh change of pace from nitty-gritty crime thrillers, what do you think!
Hush hush: Actors Juhi Chawla, Ayesha Jhulka, Soha Ali Khan, Karishma Tanna, Shahana Goswami and Kritika Kamra bring to you this beautiful and deep drama. The story follows the lives of five women which intersects in very unexpected ways and reveals the true realities of their life.
Indian Police Force: Action director/ producer Rohit Shetty extends his ‘copverse’ to OTTs after Singham, Simba and Sooryavanshi as Indian Police Force starring Shilpa Shetty, Siddharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi. This series is essentially a tribute to all the police officers of Mumbai and India who work very hard to keep us safe at great personal costs.
Jee Karda: Jee Karda is a coming of age story about seven childhood friends whose lives come together in the most unexpected ways. It stars Tamannah, Sunil Nayyar, Ashim Gulati, Anya Singh, Hussain Dala, Samvedna Suwalka and Sayan Banerjee in lead roles. 
Jubilee: Jubilee is an Amazon original headlined by Vikramaditya Motwane and stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana and Wamiqa Gabi in lead roles. This series explores the very birth of Bollywood entertainment as we know it. 
Modern Love Chennai/ Modern Love Hyderabad: The series Modern Love Mumbai extends to the south- Chennai and Hyderabad. Different people, but the same fundamental story and the same fundamental chase for love. Streaming in Tamil and Telugu respectively, these series star the likes of Kishore, Ramya Nambeesan, Ashok Selvan and Ritu Kumar; and Adhi Pinisetty, Nithya Menen, Suhasini Maniratnam and Revathy Naresh in the lead roles of the respective stories.
PI Meena: A young and disturbed private investigator comes to us on Amazon Prime Video and takes us on a journey through her life and her story of self-discovery and growth. PI Meena stars Tanya Maniktala, Jisshu Sengupta, Vinay Pathak and Samir Soni in lead roles. 
Shehar- Lakhot: Shehar Lakhot on Amazon Prime Video is the story of a man who returns to his hometown only to be haunted by the demons of his past and gets pulled into even more problems and must fight his way out of them. This show stars Priyanshy Painyuli, Shruthy Menon, Kubbra Sait and Manu Rishi Chadha in lead roles.
