Depp fans are signing multiple petitions to ‘cancel’ the Aquaman actress and she has reportedly received multiple death threats and warnings from them. This case brings forth a very new picture of domestic abuse. Who’s side do you take in this case?
One more event that has taken the pop culture world by storm is the world premiere release of Marvel’s Dr. Strange- Multiverse of Madness! This movie blows open infinite possibilities in the cinematic multiverse, and we will see our beloved Dr. Strange and the Scarlet Witch in probably their strongest avatars!
In other news, beloved talk show hosts James Corden and Ellen Degeneres are quitting their shows in the near future. Fans have mixed reactions regarding the same, what is yours?
Coming back to the world of Indian web series, we have quite the watchlist for you:
- Home Shanti: First up on the list, we have Home Shanti, the chaotic story of a Hindi newspaper columnist and how he navigates his life. Veterans Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa helm the ship as the protagonists. It’s a humble, down-to-earth story, with humour among other emotions, jammed into every episode of the series. Enjoy this wholesome family drama streaming on May 6th on Disney+ Hotstar.
- Pet Puraan: Pet Puraan is a refreshing change of script, and revolves around our all-time favourite actors- dogs, cats and pets! This web series takes us on a journey of a young couple being pressured by society into having children when instead they bring home a pup and become pet parents. It plays to the millennial mentality and impulsiveness and cannot get any more relatable! Watch this beautiful series on SonyLIV on May 6th!
- Suzhal: Actors Kathir and Aishwarya Rajesh bring to us Suzhal- a crime thriller that uncovers the layers of secrets and mysteries of a small town after one investigation disrupts their facade of normalcy. Suzhal comes to us on a very popular streaming platform Amazon Prime Video.
- Aspirants- Season 2!– The platform TVF comes to you with an original series Aspirants which is under production for its second season! This story will revolve around UPSC Indian Civil Service aspirants and how each of their journeys is unique in its own way. Quite motivational, wouldn’t you say?
- Khatron Ke Khiladi (S12): Rohit Shetty returns as the host of one of the highest-rated television series in Indian entertainment- Khatron Ke Khiladi. This reality series involves the celebrity contestants doing thrilling and daring tasks under pressurising situations. While the nitty-gritty anxiety-inducing tasks may not be everybody’s cup of tea, it sure has a massive fan following throughout the country! Which celeb are you hoping to see this season?
